3D Shapes Animal Challenge
EASYTEACHING.NET
Overview:
Students draw (or construct) an animal using at least four different 3D shapes. Designed for early to middle years students.
Learning Objectives:
- Apply knowledge of 3D shapes to create an object.
- Develop creativity and spatial awareness through building or drawing.
- Reinforce shape recognition by using a variety of 3D shapes.
How the Activity Works:
Students are tasked with drawing (or constructing) an animal using at least four different 3D shapes, such as spheres, cubes, cones and cylinders. They can either draw their animal or use materials like blocks to construct it. This challenge promotes both creativity and practical application of geometric concepts, as students think about how to represent animals using a range of shapes.
