EASYTEACHING.NET

Overview:

An activity where students label the parts of a pirate ship, including the crow's nest, main mast, rudder, and Jolly Roger. Designed for upper years students.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify key parts of a pirate ship and their functions.
  • Develop spatial awareness and understanding of ship components.
  • Improve labelling and diagram interpretation skills.

How the Activity Works:

Students will be given an image of a pirate ship and tasked with labelling the various parts, including the crow's nest, main mast, rudder, and Jolly Roger. The activity will help students familiarise themselves with important parts of a ship, allowing them to learn both the terminology and the role each part plays on a pirate vessel.
