Overview:

This worksheet helps students represent improper fractions with sixths in different ways. Designed for year 4 and 5 students.

Learning Objectives:

Convert improper fractions with sixths to mixed numbers.
Represent fractions using visual models such as fraction bars and circles.

How the Activity Works:

Students are presented with the fractions four sixths, eight sixths, sixteen sixths, and eleven sixths. For each fraction, they create visual models (fraction circles and bars), convert the improper fractions to mixed numbers, and write the fractions in words. They also place the fractions on a number line to develop a deeper understanding of the values of improper fractions.
