Adding Time, Hour Intervals
EASYTEACHING.NET
Overview:
An activity designed to help students add hour intervals to start times and represent the end times in both analogue and digital formats. Designed for early years students.
Learning Objectives:
- Add hour intervals to given start times.
- Represent the end times in both analogue and digital formats.
- Develop an understanding of time through addition in hourly intervals.
How the Activity Works:
Students are presented with a start time and an elapsed time in hours. They calculate the end time by adding the hour interval to the start time and then represent the result on both an analogue clock and a digital clock. For example, starting at 3:00 and adding 2 hours would result in 5:00. This activity helps reinforce time concepts by working with hour intervals and provides practice in reading both analogue and digital clocks.
