Count, Add & Write an Equation
EASYTEACHING.NET
Overview:
This activity encourages students to count and add objects, then write the corresponding addition equation. Designed for early years students.
Learning Objectives:
- Count objects accurately and identify the total.
- Develop understanding of addition by writing corresponding equations.
- Reinforce the concept of addition in visual and written form.
How the Activity Works:
Students are shown pictures of objects (e.g., butterflies, apples, etc.) and asked to count how many of each object there are. They then add the quantities together and write the addition equation that represents the total. This activity helps students connect visual representations with mathematical equations.
