Overview:

Students read a variety of analogue scales and record the weight shown in kilograms and grams. The scales use different increments, requiring students to carefully interpret each one. Designed for middle and upper primary students.

How the Activity Works:

Students observe a selection of analogue scales, each with a different increment pattern (e.g., some increasing by 100g, others by 250g or 500g). They carefully read and record the weight shown on each scale. This activity reinforces students’ ability to interpret scales with varying graduations, improving their measurement skills.
