Temperature Forecast: Cape Town

Overview:

Students read a 5-day weather forecast for the city of Cape Town and answer related questions. They also practise recording temperatures on thermometers. This activity helps students develop skills in interpreting weather forecasts and representing temperatures accurately. Designed for middle and upper primary students.

How the Activity Works:

Students review a 5-day weather forecast for Cape Town and answer questions such as "What will the temperature be on Thursday?" "Which day will be the coolest?" and "On which two days will the temperature be the same?" Additionally, students will record the given temperatures on blank thermometers. This activity strengthens students' abilities to read and interpret weather data, while reinforcing their understanding of temperature measurement.
