Temperature Forecast: Santiago

Overview:

Students read a 5-day weather forecast for Santiago and answer related questions. They also practise recording temperatures on thermometers. This activity enhances skills in reading temperature forecasts and understanding temperature variation. Designed for middle and upper primary students.

How the Activity Works:

Students examine a 5-day weather forecast for the city of Santiago and answer questions such as "What will the temperature be on Friday?" and "Which day will be the coolest?" They also compare temperatures, such as how much cooler Monday will be than Tuesday. In addition to answering questions, students are asked to record the given temperatures on blank thermometers. This activity helps students practice interpreting weather data and reinforcing their understanding of temperature scales.
