Students use a ruler to measure the dimensions of each irregular shape and then calculate the area of each. Designed for upper years students.

How the Activity Works:

In this activity, students are provided with several irregular shapes. They first use a ruler to measure the length and width of each individual section of the shape. This activity helps students apply their understanding of area calculation to complex shapes by using smaller, familiar sections.
